The beach of Schinias Livnata belongs to the southwest coast of the North Evian Gulf. More specifically, the bathing beach occupies part of an open bay located south of Cape Arkitsa, 4,7 km long. The length of the beach is 840 m, the average width 15 m and with a north-eastern orientation. The coastal zone is natural. The inland part of the coast is covered with sandy material and has dense tall vegetation consisting mainly of tamarisk, palm trees and broad-leaved trees. The seabed is sandy and gently sloping, with a 5 m shelf at a distance of 130 m from the coast. The marine biodiversity consists mainly of phaeophytes attached to the rocky parts of the shore. Finally, the bathing waters in the first few metres are shallow.

Part of the beach is organised and has facilities such as sunbeds and permanent umbrellas, showers and waste baskets. The bathers are served by refreshment bars operating at the edge of the coast. Swimming is the main activity on the coast. Finally, the area is accessible by road only by private transport. The maximum number of bathers is 2,000 people.

The immediate area around the beach is primarily agricultural and is covered by crop clusters. A very small percentage of the land is built up and mainly concerns holiday homes.
